First things first: Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We are sure that you have been keeping up with the news concerning COVID-19. We have also been watching things closely. We know that, being homeschoolers, things are a bit different for us but it only takes one, therefore we want to be responsible and take precautions. *Unless someone in your household has tested positive, you will need to continue with regular school hours/days as planned. Coursework for homeschooling is not affected by the public school shutdown.
The main office will be closed for walk-in for the remainder of the school year. We are STILL here to serve you though! The main school phone (205-664-2232) is still available to you during normal business hours. Emails, Wix messages & Facebook will still be available for contact as well. Items that need to be turned in can either be emailed or dropped in the black box at the front doors of the school. The box will be checked regularly. If you need a document signed, you can either drop it by the school (use the box) and we will mail it back to you or you can email it to us, we will sign it and send it back via email.
School pictures for 4/4 HAVE BEEN POSTPONED.
Strive Co-op, Art, Choir & Home Ec are using online resources for classes for the remainder of the year. Contact your teacher for more information.
Off-campus field trips have also been canceled due to the no more than 10 people rule imposed by the State. Should the restrictions be lifted, we will reinstate the activities. We will review week by week.
Most clubs have one or two meetings left to finish out the year. We are working on a virtual solution and possibly one or two meetings once restrictions have been lifted.
Please be in prayer for health, protection, and wisdom as we face the uncertain days ahead.
Blessings to you all!
Wayne, Connie & Dawn
